Awesome post Eddz. I totally agree, sometimes I think that people loose sight that yes indeed this is actually a game and that ones self worth is not determined by how well one does here. In fact it is better to loose ones pod in a bubble than to CTRL-Q as the former means you keep your integrity.
The node crashing and bug with logging getting out of bubbles really need to be fixed and then this behavior will go. However there are other borderline exploitation (that's utilise to the sensitive) of game mechanics like the logging on and off to move ones pod/ships away from warp in points i.e. the gate as used by RAT when they jumped less than 30 seconds before DT into the BoB gate camp in their shipyard system. Things like this will always happen of course and RAT are not alone in maximising the utilisation of these mechanics to their advantage.

(we had like 40 man fleet or so)
Integrity.. where has it gone
These numbers should in no way crash a node am thinking that your opponents were thinking the same as me.

It's not that the OP and other posters speaking out against the practice of logging to save ones ship and / or pod don't understand the game mechanics behind doing so ET.

no disrespect, at least you didnt log your ship out.

I did it not 5, 9 times, learn how to count first before writing. Forgot to install clone in c-j and the last remaining was in rens, just saved rl time of shuttle flying. And I don't use implants anyway, so stop accusing me of this crap of saving my pod full of imps.
And to say about fight that day, really enjoyed it, thks to all my pilots who fought outnumbered 3 to 1 and still manage to kill more than we lost and to klezz for fun after he burned 90 km in his blastertron to kill my raven and died 10 sec before my raven went boooom amazing fight
So you think all your opponents should log to save their ships and pods then?

It's up to them. I'm not their mammy or daddy to look after them. I do not log off to save my ship (did it once with great pleasure to **** off putukas ). Ask any coalition member, they all know me and luv me
Ok you do then, that's a valid position to take.
How do you think this meta gaming and others like it effect the playability for your fellow players in eve?

When you have a fleet battle, and having bships warp out every time they are targeted as primary to prevent giving the opponents kills, that can also be argued as not giving the other side pleasure of victory etc, yet everyone does it.
Is it really so diffrent from loggin off tactics?
Maneuvering in the battlefield to get out and come back later, it is totally in game and can be countered by the use of scramblers and 'dicter bubbles. Logging off to save ones assets is using an out of game method to accomplish the same and cannot be countered.
So yes they are completely different as one is playing within the game mechanics and one is meta gaming. Am surprised you don't see this Audrea.
